ENTRY TYPES AND TIME LIMITS

Solo- 1 Performer (2.5 minutes)
Duet/Trio- 2-3 Performers (3 minutes)
Small Group- 4-9 Performers (3 minutes)
Large Group- 10-15 Performers (4 minutes)
Line- 16 or more Performers (5 minutes)
Extended Line- 20 or more Performers (5 minutes)
Production- 20 or more Performers, (15 minute maximum)

*Please note a deduction of 2 points for every 30 seconds over limit will apply to all entries.

LEVELS

Routines are to be entered based on the levels below. Please ensure you are choosing the correct level of competition, so that each entry qualifies for the proper awards. Level changes will not be permitted once the final schedule has been finalized. Any entry level violations could result in that entry being ineligible for overall awards.

LEVEL 1

Open to all ages (4-19), where ALL performers have less than 2 years of training/experience. Maximum of 3 hours a week of training, and a maximum of 3 entries per performer.

(60% of the group must be considered Level 1 to be entered in Level 1)

LEVEL 2

Open to all ages (4-19), where all performers have 5 years or less of training/ experience.

Maximum of 6 hours a week of training, and a maximum of 5 entries per performer.

(60% of the group must be considered Level 2 for a Level 2 Group Entry)​

LEVEL 3

Open to all ages (4-19), where all performers have a minimum of 6 years or more of training/ experience.

Maximum of 12 hours a week of training, and a maximum of 12 entries per performer.

% of the group must be considered Level 3 for a Level 3 Group Entry)

 

LEVEL 4

Open to all ages (4-19), where all performers have a minimum of 6 years or more of training/experience.

Performers receive 12+ hours a week of training, and a minimum of 10 entries per performer.

(If 60% or higher of the group is considered Level 4, the entry must be in Level 4)

*Please note that any entry with an adult aged performer included will automatically compete at Level 4*

Mini (7 and under)
Junior (8-10 years)
Pre Intermediate (11-12)
Teen (13-14)
Senior (15-17)
Advanced (18-19)

Adult (20+ years)

DISCIPLINES

Ballet, Character Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Open, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Musical Theatre, Song and Dance Live Vocal, Tap, Student Choreography, Acro/Gym Ethnic.

 

All categories other than acro/gym have a limit of (3) Acro/gym tricks/tumbling passes.

A deduction of 2 marks per every trick outside of the limit will apply to all entries.

Open entries are permitted to have no more than (5) Acro/gym tricks/tumbling passes. A deduction of 2 marks per every trick outside of the limit will apply to all entries.
